Start Today, operator of the fashion e-commerce site ZOZOTOWN, has expanded its fashion coordination app WEAR to 21 new countries.
In addition to Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and Hong Kong, where the app is already available, the company is expanding the service to 21 countries, primarily in Europe, the United States, and Southeast Asia. The app will be available in Ireland, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Indonesia, India, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, Germany, New Zealand, the Philippines, Brazil, France, Vietnam, Poland, Malaysia, Mexico, and Russia.
In the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Malaysia, product information will be shared with local brands. Additionally, the app will partner with fashion e-commerce sites ASOS, Net-a-Porter, and the New York-based fashion brand Urban Outfitters to provide a system where users can purchase items used in outfits.
WEAR is an app that allows users to post photos of their own fashion coordinations. Over one million outfits have already been posted, and many of them are created by not only ordinary users but also celebrities such as models, bloggers, and designers. These fashion-conscious users are called "WEARISTA," and the site plans to continue to attract more fashion bloggers and models with over one million followers on social media.
