Gap x Visionaire Final Collection Released. GOLD & ART Theme

Oct 7, 2014

Gap will release the final collection of its collaboration with art fashion magazine Visionaire on October 18th.

The collection features artwork inspired by the themes and art featured in Visionaire, using techniques such as silkscreen printing, photo printing, digital printing, and all-over prints. This limited-edition, collector's collection follows the magazine's first popular T-shirt collections, "METAL," which used silver foil stamps, and "SOLAR," which used UV-sensitive ink.

The two new collections announced this time are "GOLD," a T-shirt collection incorporating gold foil processing into the designs, and "ART," in which renowned artists project images from previous issues of Visionaire onto sweatshirts and T-shirts.

The artists collaborating with the GOLD collection are as follows: The artists featured in the collection include Alexis Rockman, Simon Periton, Blommers & Schumm with Natasha Poly, James Nares, Francois Berthoud, Petter Saville, Ugo Rondinone & John Giorno, Mark Romanek, Pierpaolo Ferrari with Lea T, Adam Fuss, Sam Taylor-Johnson, Philip Taaffe, Vik Muniz, John Baldessari, and Craig McDen. The collection features Alicia Kwade, Anna Blessman & Peter Saville, Cai-Guo Qiang, Catherine Chalmers, Christopher Bucklow, David Armstrong, Diana Vreeland, Greg Foley, Marco Brambillia, Massimo Vitali, Pierre & Gilles, Ruben Toledo, Sharon Ellis, and Steven Klein.

In Japan, the collection will be available at the Gap flagship store in Harajuku.
