
The "Decade" exhibition, showcasing the work of product designer Shigeki Fujishiro, will be held from October 17th to November 10th at the "IDÉE Shop Variete" in Umeda, Osaka (5th floor, South Building, Grand Front Osaka, 4-20 Ofuka-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture). The exhibition will feature a selection of products Fujishiro has released over the past 10 years since leaving IDÉE. The lineup includes the popular "SIERRA SOFA" sofa (starting at ¥148,000), the multifunctional "knot" basket, and the "eiffel" and "rivet lamp" lighting fixtures, which utilize the unique characteristics of materials. A special colorway of the "FRAMES" mobile (¥27,000 and ¥35,000), composed of straight lines, will also be available. Born in 1974, Fujishiro graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Wako University and then from the night school at Kuwasawa Design School. After working at IDEE, he began working independently as Shigeki Fujishiro Design in 2005, and is currently under contract with the Spanish product manufacturer RS Barcelona. He also serves as director of the plywood manufacturer SAITO WOOD. In addition to furniture, he has also worked on sneakers for Adidas and artwork for Petit h Hermes.
