H&M's high-end line, COS, will open its first store in Japan on November 8th in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.
The new store will feature a modern and timeless interior while making use of the existing building's unique features, expressing the brand's concept of "functional design." Men's and women's collections will be available across three floors.
To commemorate its arrival in Japan, COS will release a wrap dress and a men's shirt exclusively in Japan. Both incorporate Japanese cotton materials and stitching, and the wrap dress features clean cutting. Inspired by the strong lines found in Japanese architecture, the bold shapes are enhanced by flowing lines thanks to the Japan-made materials. Meanwhile, the men's shirt features a structured design with hidden pockets and clean lines, emphasizing functionality.
Ahead of the opening, Cos General Manager Marie Honda commented, "Tokyo is a vibrant and exciting city, and we feel Aoyama is the ideal area to open our first store."
