A pop-up store for mintdesigns has opened in the Center Park/TOKYO Kaihoku area on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building. The store showcases the brand's Japanese-made items, with a "100% Made in Japan" theme. The store will run until October 28th. Approximately 95% of the brand's products are made in Japan. The brand continues to produce items supported by the meticulous work of skilled artisans from all over Japan. To promote this fact, a mini gallery showcasing the portfolios of the craftspeople will be set up on a corner of the store's exterior wall during the event. The gallery will feature photographs of the craftspeople who work on mintdesigns' products wearing the pieces they've made. Men and women working at a sewing factory in Saitama, a textile printing factory and pattern maker in Tokyo, and a lace workshop in Kanagawa Prefecture will showcase their unique styles, providing a glimpse into how each item adds color to the world. The venue will also feature the brand's fall/winter collection and a number of limited-edition items. The "100% Made in Japan" limited-edition item is the "Hokusai Manga x Mint Designs" pattern series, featuring the Hokusai Manga by Katsushika Hokusai. The unique patterns are featured on both the top (¥24,000) and dress (¥36,000). Regarding the creation of these items, the buyer in charge commented, "When we think of 'Cool Japan,' we imagine Japanese culture being spread through anime and manga. So, when we thought about creating a product that would return to the roots of manga and anime, we decided to incorporate Hokusai Manga." Other store-exclusive items include a jacket with leather sleeves and a wool bodice (¥52,000), a long stadium coat (¥68,000), and a clutch bag with a doll-motif stud design (¥60,000).
