Musician and designer MEG was born on October 3, 1980, in Hiroshima Prefecture.
She debuted in 2002 with the single "Scanty Blues," produced by Yasuyuki Okamura. The following year, she made her European debut with the album "ROOM GIRL." After that, she was active on an independent label for a while, and her albums "Dithyrambos" and "aquaberry," released during this time, reached number one on the iTunes Music Store's category chart.
In 2007, MEG signed with Universal Music and released the single "OK." The cover photo featured a sexy and cute photo of MEG in red striped pants, straddling a heart, and caused a big stir, with posters of her in Harajuku being stolen. The following year, her albums "BEAM" and "STEM" reached number one in sales at foreign record stores. While continuing to record, she continued to actively perform at events such as "SUMMER SONIC" and "JAPAN EXPO Paris" in France. However, in 2010, she took a break from her domestic activities after releasing her best-of album "BEST FLIGHT." Since then, she has focused her activities overseas, primarily in France.

While performing at events such as "JAPAN EXPO Paris," she released a series of anime cover songs on iTunes FRANCE for six consecutive months in 2011. She also made her debut as a voice actress in the anime film "Norageki!" during a brief visit to Japan. In 2012, she resumed her activities in Japan, releasing "LA JAPONAISE," an album compiling the cover songs she released in France. Her first live performance after her return drew huge crowds, resulting in premium ticket sales with a 42-to-1 ratio.

Meanwhile, MEG is also active as a designer, and in 2004, she opened a vintage clothing store in Harajuku and launched the brand "cheryl." Furthermore, she founded the women's brand "CAROLINA GLASER" in 2006, which received high praise and was selected as the No. 1 Mori Girl brand in 2010. In 2012, she launched the cosmetics brand "baw" and in 2013 the nursing wear brand "BAW", but in 2013 she resigned from all operations at Carolina Glaser.
