The NINA RICCI Spring/Summer 2015 collection marked Peter Copping's final season. The theme for this collection was "Make do and mend." It was inspired by the collections created during the strict post-World War II era. It also incorporated elements from the textile work of contemporary artist Louise Bourgeois. The silhouettes were long and lean, with high-pointed waists that emphasized length. The proposed pieces offered a feminine impression, with plunging dresses and knitwear, and deep slits. Jackets and vests also featured open chests, accentuating the décolleté. Knee-length skirts featured deep slits that flowed gracefully. The dresses and skirts, crafted from double-faced crepe, featured flashes of pink and yellow, brown and blue. The geometric lace used in the various lace designs likely inspired by Bourgeois. Floral motifs and black beaded embroidery also added to the elegant atmosphere.
From next season, Guillaume Henry will take over as creative director.
