Yohji Yamamoto's tailored line, Yohji Yamamoto Costume D'Homme, has launched the world's first tailored line to incorporate the dynamic clothing design and technology "Dynamic Cutting + Dynamic Sewing(R)." Aiming for uniquely Japanese craftsmanship, this series is a collaboration with INDUSTYLE TOKYO, the dynamic clothing brand of the long-established Maruwa Textile Industry. Functional clothing designer Yutaka Nakazawa developed the dynamic clothing design "Dynamic Cutting(R)" after researching and analyzing human skin. The garments, designed to move with the human body without restricting movement, offer ultimate comfort without causing any tightness or stress. They have been used in the uniforms of Olympic athletes and onboard clothing for Japanese astronauts. The new series incorporates "Dynamic Cutting + Dynamic Sewing®," a fusion of "Dynamic Cutting®" and Maruwa Textile Industry's "Dynamic Sewing®," a sewing technology that transforms complex patterns into more supple and beautiful garments. While retaining Yohji's signature voluminous forms and elegant style, four styles have been released: two jackets made with wool jersey and two shirts made with smooth material. Maruwa Textile Industry, based on its 55-year history as an apparel OEM manufacturer, offers value-added, one-stop services for apparel production, from creating specifications to proposing materials, auxiliary materials, and secondary processing, to providing advice on design, patterns, and sewing specifications with accompanying pattern makers. Committed to providing Japanese-made apparel products based on a "quality-first" philosophy, the company also operates a manufacturing line at its Tokyo headquarters in Kamezawa, Sumida Ward.
