Cole Haan x New York Ballet, ballerina-inspired shoes

Oct 24, 2014

Cole Haan has partnered with three top ballerinas from the New York City Ballet to launch a new shoe collection. The New York City Ballet is one of the world's most prestigious ballet companies, with over 90 dancers. This collaboration utilizes materials and colors inspired by the stage performances of the company's three dancers: Sarah Mearns, Megan Fairchild, and Gretchen Smith, while pursuing designs that complement everyday life. The "Averie Pointy Ballet" (¥30,000) is inspired by ballerinas' pointe shoes and features a ribbon cross on the back. It comes in two colors: Black Swan Metallic and Diamond Metallic. The "Averie Printed Tutu Ballet" (¥33,000) also features a black suede toe. Tulle is printed on nude nappa leather for a fabric-like texture.

Stores selling the brand in Japan include Cole Haan Ginza Flagship Store, Isetan Shinjuku Store, Ginza Mitsukoshi, Fukuoka Iwataya, Ikebukuro Seibu, Yokohama Sogo, Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, Umeda Hankyu, Osaka Takashimaya, Tamagawa Takashimaya, JR Nagoya Takashimaya, Nihonbashi Takashimaya, and Shibuya Tokyu Flagship Store.
