Cole Haan's next-generation shoe "Zerogrand" to be released in Japan first at Isetan Men's

Jul 10, 2014

The Isetan Shinjuku Men's Store will be featuring Cole Haan's new "ZEROGRAND" model, which was released worldwide on July 7th, in the men's shoe department on the first basement floor. The sale will run until the 15th.
The ZEROGRAND is an extremely light and flexible next-generation model. Cole Haan, which joined Nike in the 1980s, developed revolutionary shoes that combined classic leather shoes with Nike Air soles (Nike subsequently sold Cole Haan to Apax Partners in 2013).
The LUNAGRAND, launched in the spring of 2012 in collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara's "fragment design," became a huge hit. The ZEROGRAND is an evolved version of the LUNAGRAND.
One of the Zerogrand's outstanding features is its lightweight design, weighing just 260g per shoe (size 8.5, stitchless type). The uniquely slit sole incorporates a new, proprietary cushioning system called "GRAND OS," adding cushioning without compromising the shoe's silhouette and improving comfort. The shoe is available only in wingtip styles, crafted from two different materials: the "Zerogrand Oxford Suede" (¥45,000) made with kudu leather, and the "Zerogrand Oxford Stitchless" (¥38,000) made with synthetic fabric. The lineup includes four leather colors and three synthetic fabric colors, for a total of seven colors. Currently available in Japan only at Isetan Men's and Cole Haan Ginza, the shoes will be available nationwide from August 1st. New Zerogrand models are scheduled to be released after the fall/winter season.
