Cole Haan has announced the grand opening of its Ginza flagship store. Located at 3-4-12 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, the store is the brand's first flagship store worldwide, introducing a new concept.
The striking indigo-tiled exterior of the store, measuring approximately 182 square meters, is divided into three sections, decorated with sofas, tables, paintings, and plants, creating a relaxing atmosphere reminiscent of being invited into a friend's home.
This season, marking its 86th anniversary, Cole Haan has rebranded as a lifestyle brand and updated its logo. The store offers a wide range of products, including its core men's and women's shoes, as well as bags, accessories, jewelry, and outerwear. Following a reorganization of the design team, the brand has revamped its shoe lasts and expanded its bag and leather goods offerings. The brand plans to continue expanding its lineup to include apparel, fragrances, sunglasses, and more. Additionally, the brand will be releasing camouflage-patterned ponytail pumps, flats, and short boots (all for women), as well as black patent leather and two-tone loafers (all for men), exclusively available at this store in Japan. The "Zerogrand" collection, which was released worldwide in July and became a hot topic, will also be available in a wide variety of variations. Starting this season, the brand will also be featuring actress and model Dree Hemingway, great-granddaughter of author Ernest Miller Hemingway, in its advertising campaigns. Dree will be involved not only in advertising but also in product development. Cole Haan Global Creative Director Walka McQuilliam commented, "Dorie is timeless and unique. Her curiosity and creativity captivate those around her. She is the perfect muse for today's era. I am excited to work with her to create a collection that incorporates her elegance and beauty."
Cole Haan plans to gradually renovate other stores based on the same concept. The company is also actively working to develop the Asian market. "We want to remain an innovative brand that combines tradition and modernity, creating new things while capturing our 86-year history," said a spokesperson.
