To commemorate the start of direct service between five railway companies on March 16th, a free "40 Shinjuku Experts' Review Guidebook" has been published, introducing gourmet spots in Shinjuku-sanchome and the area around Shinjuku Station.

With the start of direct service, commercial facilities around Shinjuku-sanchome Station on the Fukutoshin Line, which serves as a stopover point from the Yokohama and Saitama areas, have teamed up to jointly publish a gourmet guidebook with the aim of attracting visitors to the Shinjuku area. A total of 15 stores are participating, including Isetan Shinjuku, Shinjuku Takashimaya, Odakyu Department Store, Keio Department Store, Lumine, Bic Camera, and Kinokuniya Bookstore. Tokyo Metro is a special sponsor, and Shinjuku Ward is participating as a backer, making this a project that has elevated the Shinjuku area. The guidebook features 40 establishments that are wholeheartedly recommended by "Shinjuku expert" staff working at the participating establishments. It covers a wide range of genres, including Japanese cuisine, dining & cafes, Indian cuisine, French cuisine, Italian cuisine, Chinese cuisine, Korean cuisine, coffee shops, and sweet shops, and also introduces souvenirs that can only be found in Shinjuku, along with comments from the recommenders.

The guidebook will be distributed at all Tokyo Metro stations. In addition, a stamp rally campaign will be held from March 16th to April 19th, where customers can collect stamps by eating and drinking at participating establishments and enter the campaign to win a prize.

On the 16th, through service began between the Tokyu Toyoko Line and Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line, connecting the Toyoko Line to the Yokohama Minatomirai Line, the Tobu Tojo Line to the Fukutoshin Line, and the Seibu Yurakucho-Ikebukuro Line, for a total of five lines. Travel between Saitama and Yokohama is now possible without changing trains.
