IN-PROCESS BY HALL OHARA held their 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection show at Bellesalle Shibuya Garden on March 19th. The designers were the duo Yurika Ohara and Steven Hall. Based on the concept of "juxtaposition," the collection reimagined various memorable pieces from the two designers, combining them into new designs. A tailored jacket was combined with a cardigan, and a wool coat featured knitted sleeves, shoulders, and pockets. An oversized knit cardigan featured ruffles that resembled a skirt, and a sweatshirt, blouse, and mod coat were combined to create a dress. Shoes were also designed with a mix of different materials and colors. Tights and scarves printed with flowers and fruit, reindeer-themed sweaters, and animal-print items evoked a nostalgic atmosphere. The final piece featured a Victorian skirt puffed up with panniers.
This is the seventh season since the brand was founded. They have made a complete shift from their previous conceptual style to creating more relaxed clothing. The two designers explained the reason for this as "the brand's style has been established, so we wanted to take it to another level."
