Jun 3, 2014

Tod's Japan has released a limited edition charity bracelet (priced at ¥26,000) as part of its support for the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami recovery efforts. The limited edition bracelet features the brand's classic braided leather accessory, "My Colors," in green and purple, the theme colors of Tod's Japan's "Sports Pro Bono" social contribution project, which supports disaster-stricken areas. A portion of the proceeds will be used to hold soccer classes in the affected areas. Tod's Japan, together with Save the Children Japan, a public interest incorporated association that works for children, supports the "Sports Pro Bono" social contribution project initiated by former Japanese national soccer team player Tsuyoshi Kitazawa, and is holding soccer projects and other events in the affected areas. Last summer, 150 children participated in the event in Kamaishi City and Yamada Town, Iwate Prefecture. This year, a soccer class is scheduled for July 28th in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture. At Kitazawa's photo exhibition "Football in the World" held on May 31, Tod's Japan presented charity bracelets to Kitazawa and former soccer player Tetsuo Nakanishi.
