Parisian shoe brand PIERRE HARDY will be holding an event titled "Le Monde de Pierre Hardy" on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store from April 3rd to 9th. Designer Hardy himself will be visiting Japan and participating in the event on April 6th.

In addition to women's shoes and unisex pouches and bags, limited-edition pouches featuring a colorful cube print specially designed for the event (4 colors available, 26,250 yen each) will also be on sale.

Pierre Hardy is a Paris-born shoe designer. After working as an illustrator for magazines such as Vanity Fair and Vogue Homme, he designed a shoe collection for Christian Dior. He then served as creative director for men's and women's shoes at Hermès before launching his own brand in the spring/summer 1999 season. In 2001, he became a shoe designer for Balenciaga, led by Nicolas Ghesquière. In the same year, he was appointed creative director of Hermès' fine jewelry division. In 2002, he launched his own men's shoe collection. His designs, with their futuristic and innovative sense of color, have been highly praised.
