Negative ion generating "Iomist Essence Gel" to be released in April

Mar 28, 2013

Following the release of "IOMIST Clear Lotion" (2,500 yen) in January of this year, Lightech Co., Ltd. will release "IOMIST Essence Gel" (3,800 yen) in early April.

The clear lotion combines "IOMIST," an ingredient that generates negative ions by combining ultra-fine tourmaline particles with a special catalyst, with extracts of Alpinia speciosa leaves from Okinawa Island and loofah from Miyako Island. The essence gel, which will be released in April, also contains several types of domestic botanical beauty extracts, including okra from Okinawa Island, saxifrage from Kagawa and Tokushima prefectures, and Phellodendron bark from Shimane Prefecture.

IOMIST has a skin-clearing effect that removes dirt and dead skin cells while also promoting healthy, clear skin through the action of negative ions. The negative potential neutralizes the positive potential accumulated under the skin, enhancing the iontophoresis effect by delivering beauty ingredients deep into the skin as a weak current similar to bioelectric current. The weak current is also effective against swelling in the face and legs.

Headquartered in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City, Litec specializes in high-frequency power PIN diodes. The company discovered the Iomist ingredients in this product during the development of semiconductor products. The company holds a domestic patent and will focus on developing health and beauty products as a separate business from the development, manufacturing, and sales of electronic components.

In addition, a room spray incorporating Iomist ingredients, "Ionmist_005 Microcurrent & Negative Ion Spray" (1,800 yen), was released in March of this year. Simply spraying it on the room or linens generates negative ions for a long period of time, allowing you to easily enjoy the forest bathing effect.
