Have you heard of Maritozzo, a treat made with the delicious fresh cream from Starbucks' bakery, Princi®?

Princi® is an Italian bakery operated by Starbucks. While there are many recommended items, this time we'll be introducing the Maritozzo, a classic dessert in Rome, Italy.

Maritozzo is a fluffy brioche bun sandwiched with a generous amount of fresh cream.

Princi®, an Italian bakery located on the first floor of the Starbucks Reserve® Roastery Tokyo, currently has two maritozzos on sale.

This maritozzo is an original brioche with a subtle orange aroma and a smooth texture, sandwiched with a generous amount of light, creamy whipped cream.

The "Maritozzo Nocciola" (photo on the left) is filled with an original hazelnut sauce made with Italian hazelnut paste and cream, creating a wonderful combination of hazelnut flavor and the generous amount of cream sandwiched between the two. It is topped with cocoa powder.

The "Maritozzo Lampone & Fragola" (photo on the right) is filled with a berry sauce made from strawberry and raspberry puree, creating an addictive combination of the sweet and sour berries and cream. It is topped with raspberry powder.

How about enjoying this as a luxurious treat for your tea time at home?

A seasonal limited edition version is scheduled to be released this spring. We're looking forward to this too!
