BOYS AND MEN is an entertainment group from Nagoya. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, a project began this summer in which the members developed merchandise on the Nippon Television shopping program "NTV Poshre." Hummel has begun selling jerseys and T-shirts created by Tsujimoto Tatsunori and Tamura Yukihisa.
■BOYS AND MEN Collaboration with Tsujimoto and Tamura!
Hummel participated in the program "BOYS AND MEN's Soul Goods: Making the Strongest Items in Boys and Men's History!", which created collaborative goods to commemorate BOYS AND MEN's 10th anniversary. Hummel created a jersey set with Tsujimoto Tatsunori and T-shirts for live performances and casual wear with Tamura Yukihisa.
With the theme of "a jersey that the band members would want to wear, and that fans would want to wear as well," Tsujimoto expressed his feelings by embroidering "Dreams Come True If You Never Give Up We Are BOYS AND MEN" on the inside of the jacket's ribbing. He also added a patch of Shabani, the handsome gorilla from Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Nagoya, and carefully considered the fabric, silhouette, and collar, which tends to be a hassle when moving around during dance practice, by shortening it by a few centimeters, to create a jersey that was perfect for him.
Tamura and I created two types of T-shirts based on the themes of one that is easy to wear to live shows, and one that can be worn everyday even by people who are not BOYS MEN fans (even BOYS MEN T-shirts are hard to recognize). The T-shirt for live shows is vibrant with added designs, including Nagoya Castle, a symbol of BOYS MEN's hometown of Nagoya. On the other hand, the casual T-shirt, which was made without the design, has a simple finish.
