A mock class will be held with Daido Moriyama, Masayuki Yoshinaga, and others. An exhibition of Resist Photography School graduates will be held in March.

Feb 28, 2013

The Resist Photography School, run by photographers Masayuki Yoshinaga and Daido Moriyama, will hold a photo exhibition by its graduates, "ex.resist," starting March 7th. The exhibition will showcase the works of 10 graduates, from the first to sixth cohorts who graduated in 2006. The exhibition will include a mock lesson by school principal Yoshinaga and president Moriyama, as well as reservation-only events featuring photography critic Akiko Otake, Little More CEO Son Jiakun, and art director Satoru Machiguchi. Daikanyama T-Site will also host an exhibition of exhibitors' works and photo books, as well as a talk event, from March 5th to 18th. Resist Photography School was founded by Yoshinaga and Moriyama to share their experiences with the next generation and to support new talent and individuality through direct interaction through creative work. Guest lecturers from a variety of genres, including visual artists, film directors, and professional boxers, are invited to give lectures, and a photo book is published annually as a graduation project. The 7th class completed its course in November of last year.
