9 creators including Plantika Edzwaki x Topkapi present artistic silk print works

Nov 12, 2014

Women's brand TOPKAPI has launched a project called "MIRROR" in collaboration with ditto. The opening event will be held on November 21st and 22nd at the Harajuku gallery space VACANT.
MIRROR uses high-quality inkjet printers to allow participating artists to create a variety of designs on 100% silk. Returning to TOPKAPI's origins, which began with silk-printed scarves, the project explores a new relationship between fashion and lifestyle. A total of 18 items will be released, including art scarves and silk scarf bags.
Ditto is a project that aims to incorporate artworks into scarves, making the experience of purchasing art more accessible. In 2013, the project released silk scarves designed by 19 artists, which became a hot topic.
The artists participating in the project will be in attendance at the opening event, where the project's works will be unveiled for the first time. The event will be held from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM on the 21st and from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on the 22nd. The nine artists participating in the project are A.M., Ed TSUWAKI, Eriko Kodama, Takashi Makabe, Masashi Ozawa, plantica, Yuka Sakamaki, saji MIHO, HALCA, and hey. This charismatic group brings together the latest cultural figures, from painters to musicians and flower artists.
