Isetan Shinjuku is hosting "Mori no Hohoho: mina perhonen meets Scandinavian" from November 5th to November 11th at Center Park The Stage #3 on the 3rd floor of the main building.

According to Isetan, the entire store is planning a Nordic-themed event for the Christmas season, and as a result, they decided to hold an event with mina perhonen, a Japanese fashion brand with deep ties to Nordic culture. The event title, "Mori no Hohoho," reflects the desire to create a fun event where you can hear the laughter of hohoho coming from the deep Nordic forests.

Highlights include antiques purchased in Scandinavia by designer Akira Minagawa specifically for the event, as well as a variety of items made using "dop," a fabric designed to change color over time. The double-sided moleskin "dop" fabric comes in three patterns: solid, butterfly (choucho), and tambourine. It will be available in everything from fashion items like dresses and coats to interior decor. The warm colors, evocative of the Scandinavian forests that the designer loves, are also a highlight. Items in different colors will be available, including tote bags (large butterfly pattern ¥8,000, tambourine pattern ¥9,000, small butterfly pattern ¥7,500, tambourine pattern ¥8,500), cushions (large butterfly pattern ¥17,000, tambourine pattern ¥20,000, small butterfly pattern ¥12,000, tambourine pattern ¥14,000), coasters (¥700 to ¥1,200), and placemats (¥3,000). Additionally, a vintage Kai Kristiansen chair with a dop-covered seat will also be available. During this period, orders will also be accepted for don don bags, where you can choose your favorite fabric from two patterns and five colors each.
