The opening ceremony for the Cool Japan Fund (Cool Japan Fund) was held on November 25th at the company's office in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo. President Nobuyuki Ota said, "I've been focused on fashion until now, but I want to utilize my experience working with the world. The Cool Japan Fund supports the efforts of companies to spread Japan's excellent design, content, delicious food, hospitality, and lifestyle to the world. We want to create a platform for disseminating information around the world, so that companies can not only do business with the world but also make profits from it. We will also actively promote PR and improve our image. As a public-private joint fund, we want to work with a medium- to long-term perspective." A presentation by mina perhonen was also held, in recognition of the brand's global recognition for combining traditional Japanese techniques with sensibility, such as visiting production areas across the country, unearthing hidden techniques in factories, and adding new creations. A rocking horse ribbon was used for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Toshimitsu Motegi, Minister of State for Economic Revitalization Akira Amari, and representatives of private shareholder companies. Regarding the future, President Ota said, "I will be traveling overseas from next month, and would like to decide on my first project by March next year."
