Toranomon Hills' first Christmas celebration will be celebrated with an artistic landmark

Nov 4, 2014

Toranomon Hills will be holding its Christmas promotion, "TORANOMON HILLS WINTER 2014," from November 28th to February 15th. During this period, the building's atrium will be transformed into a fantastical Christmas-themed artwork called "Toranomon White Forest." This is a collaboration between Makoto Tanijiri of Suppose Design Office and Ai Yoshida. The 10-meter-tall, pure white steel columns create a winter forest-like atmosphere. Toranomon Hills' mascot, "Toranomon," will also appear in the atrium, and the bells, inspired by the character, are sure to catch your eye. Meanwhile, artist Jaume Plensa's public artwork "Roots" will be unveiled in Oval Plaza on the 28th. The 10-meter-tall sculpture depicts a seated human figure with its knees hugged, written in eight languages. It was created as a symbol of peace, representing humanity coexisting despite cultural barriers. During this period, various events will be held at the restaurants and shops within the building. The restaurant bar "above GRILL & BAR" will offer a special menu "above 1st Christmas" (11,000 yen), and the restaurant "Andaz Tavern" will offer a Christmas-only course (from 19,440 yen). The patisserie "Pirouette" and the cafe "MAISON KAYSER CAFE" will also be offering limited-edition Christmas cakes. In addition, the skincare brand "SULA NYC TOKYO" will be selling a gift box (8,316 yen) exclusive to Toranomon Hills. A "Toranomon Resin Figure" (3,240 yen) will also be on sale at the temporary wagon shop on the second floor of Mori Tower.
