Omotesando Hills will be holding a Christmas promotion from November 6th to December 25th. The promotion title is "OMOTESANDO HILLS CHRISTMAS 2014 with Moet & Chandon." During this period, a space themed "Nostalgia Christmas" will be created within the Hills, evoking a sense of nostalgia and warmth.
The main building's large atrium staircase will be illuminated with lights under the theme "Symphonic Forest - Christmas in the Sacred Forest." Approximately 10,000 LED bulbs will be placed on the ceiling, evoking the image of a starry sky. Approximately 6,000 LED bulbs and garlands will be placed on the sides of the slope surrounding the atrium, creating the image of a "forest radiating light."
In addition, the world's largest diorama tree, measuring 8 meters high, will be placed in the center of the large atrium staircase. The tree, decorated with approximately 7,000 colorful LED lights in gold, red, green, and blue, features a musical instrument and a central motif. A diorama town also appears, featuring a "Musical Instrument Village" featuring brass instruments, harps, violins, and cellos. Some of the houses in the town have built-in monitors, allowing visitors to peer inside to see the residents' daily lives. Additionally, every 20 minutes, six "Music Villages" will tune up and the entire town will play a symphony, a special three-minute performance. The special performance begins at 11:20 AM and 11:00 PM, at 20:00, and 40:00 PM (the final performance is at 10:40 PM). During the three-minute symphony, the residents of the diorama town dance to the music and celebrate Christmas. The forest and town resonate with the sound, and the entire tree is enveloped in holy light.
The design and spatial production was handled by Masato Baba, creative director of H.P. FRANCE, and the production and tree design was handled by Sayoko Yajima of KLOKA.
