ELLE DECOR produces Christmas at ARK Hills, with workshops and limited-edition menus

Nov 14, 2014

ARK Hills in Akasaka will be holding its winter promotion, "ARK HILLS WINTER," from November 28th through January 4th. This time, ELLE DECOR magazine is producing ARK Hills' Christmas illuminations. Prziemek Sobczyk, an artist who has collaborated with Louis Vuitton, designed the illuminations, lighting up the central corridor at ARK Karajan Square. Phrases scattered throughout the illuminations are excerpts from Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" Symphony No. 9. An object based on this piece will appear in front of the waterfall at Suntory Hall. Other events include a handbell choir by Tamagawa Gakuen students on December 6th, and a gospel choir by alumni of Marunouchi Morning College on December 14th. Also on the 14th, the "Akasaka Flea Market in ARK HILLS -for Christmas-" will be held, selling antique goods, jewelry, and more, perfect for gift-giving. Workshops to make Christmas wreaths and felt snowmen will also be held to help get you into the Christmas spirit.

In addition, four restaurants within Hills will be offering limited-time Christmas menus. Enjoy Christmas dinner at the Italian restaurant "Plates" or the international cuisine restaurant "Choice," which will be offering a course menu only on the 24th and 25th. You can also take this opportunity to order something a little more luxurious, such as the "Poached Foie Gras with Scrambled Eggs" (2,180 yen) at Cafe "Randy."
