Terrace Mall Shonan, a shopping mall in the Shonan area, celebrated its first anniversary on November 11th. To mark the occasion, Sumitomo Corporation and Sumisho Urban Development announced the facility's annual sales and visitor numbers, which they developed and operate in collaboration with GIC Real Estate.
Sales achieved approximately 50.9 billion yen, far exceeding the initial target of 40 billion yen. Visitor numbers also exceeded the initial target of 20 million, reaching 23.7 million. Approximately 70% of visitors came from within a 10-kilometer radius or along the train line. Approximately 30% came from the Tokyo and Yokohama areas.
Terrace Mall Shonan is a commercial complex located within the Shonan C-X (Sea Cross) urban regeneration project surrounding the north exit of JR Tsujido Station. With a total floor area of approximately 170,000 square meters and four floors above ground, it is the largest mall in the Shonan area, boasting 281 stores. The fashion floor, located on the second floor, is directly connected to the north exit of Tsujido Station by a deck, making it highly convenient in terms of access. Behind the strong sales is the diverse range of businesses and a layout that makes it easy to navigate. The fashion section offers a wide range of options, from fast fashion to select shops and specialty stores offering carefully selected goods, meeting the specific needs of visitors.
In addition, anchor stores such as the movie theater 109 Cinemas and the book and stationery store Yurindo are located on both ends of the mall, which also have a strong effect of attracting customers to other stores. The surrounding area is expected to see further development, with the completion of office buildings and large-scale apartment buildings planned in the future.
