At a symposium held on February 1st during the 5th Bunka Fashion Graduate University Fashion Week (BFGUFW), Taiyo Onishi, President and CEO of Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings, Osamu Shigematsu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Arrows, and Yusaku Maezawa, CEO of Start Today, will hold a discussion on the theme of "Recreating a 100-Year-Old Japanese Brand and a 100-Year-Old Shop!"

The three speakers will exchange opinions from department stores, select shops, and the e-commerce industry on topics such as "What the retail market is looking for," "Changing customer preferences," "Sales floor proposals," "Currently attractive brands," and "What people expect from Japanese brands." Applications for invitations are currently being accepted on the website (deadline January 15th, 2013).

BFGUFW runs from January 31st to February 5th. During the period, current students will hold shows and give research presentations.
