Japan's first "Sichuan Festival" is set to be held! A lineup of famous Sichuan restaurants, offering mind-blowing cuisine

The "Sichuan Festival in Nakano Antenna Street" will be held on April 2nd at Nakano Central Park and Shiki no Mori Park in Nakano, Tokyo.

The festival is organized by the Mala Federation, a consumer group founded primarily by members of the website "Oishii Sichuan" with the mission of connecting Sichuan cuisine lovers with chefs from all over the country. In addition to Sichuan cuisine, the festival will also feature stage performances such as the traditional Sichuan performing art of "face changing," as well as a raffle for the chance to win an economy class ticket on a direct flight to Chengdu, Sichuan Province, on ANA. Participating restaurants include Akasaka Sichuan Restaurant, run by third-generation owner Chen Kentaro; the Azabu Juban branch of Lao Sichuan Piao Xiang, run by owner-chef Igeta Yoshiki; and Azabu Choko Xiang Fu Meng, run by owner-chef Tamura Ryosuke, all familiar faces from TV shows. Other participating restaurants include Senno Mago, Chinese Restaurant Shien, Chinese Bar Kongming's Trap, Tianfu Fang, Kamei, Oishii Yun Bairou, Ginza Yamanobe Edo Chinese, Jiubar, Minami, and Chenjia Private Cuisine. Additionally, Sanmei Bussan will be selling Chinese ingredients, Ikemitsu Enterprises will be selling Tsingtao beer, and Hiyori Shoji will be selling Chinese liquor. Food will be available at food stalls on the day of the festival, with cash purchases accepted at each establishment.
