Hender Scheme, an Asakusa-based brand that develops leather shoes and products, will be commemorating the 5th anniversary of the opening of Dover Street Market Ginza (DSMG) by releasing a collection called "drum dye" based on their homage line "manual industrial products" at DSMG from March 18th.
"manual industrial products" is a shoe line that Hender Scheme releases one model each season based on the concept that "we treat sneakers as industrial products, and deliberately create items that look exactly the same by using a different production background, namely handcrafting, to create a different appearance."
For this "drum dye" collection, representative shoes from past homage lines have been specially dyed in red and navy. This "drum dye" dyeing technique involves dyeing the entire finished shoe in a dye drum, and has also been used in past main collections. The color is different from the usual natural tanned leather, and the leather has unevenness and dyeing patterns that vary depending on the material, so you can enjoy a unique leather look.
