Four muses appear in the campaign for Chanel's new iconic bag, Gabrielle de Chanel

Mar 21, 2017

To coincide with the release of CHANEL's new handbag, "Gabrielle de Chanel," which debuted in the brand's Spring/Summer 2017 collection, a teaser video featuring four muses from the advertising campaign has been released.

The video features four House ambassadors - Kristen Stewart, Caroline de Maigret, Pharrell Williams, and Cara Delevingne - each wearing their own unique style as they discuss Gabrielle Chanel's vision. The teaser also features a scene in which each of them calls out Gabrielle's name to the camera.

The "Gabrielle de Chanel" bag collection combines the practicality and sophisticated, beautiful silhouettes that Gabrielle Chanel, the founder of the House, valued. The hobo bag, shopping bag, and backpack feature a supple, aged matelassé body combined with a rigid bottom for a stable form, and are adorned with the iconic double-strand metal chain woven with leather. The chain strap can be worn three ways—on the shoulder, crossbody, or as a backpack—to suit your mood. Similarly, the small, drawstring purse bag is available in python leather as well as vibrant leather models in pink, white, and blue. Regarding this bag collection, Karl Lagerfeld said, "Everyone called her Coco, but her real name was Gabrielle. It's the perfect name for a handbag that embodies all the codes of Chanel." The Gabrielle de Chanel bag, which inherits the House's tradition while modernizing it to suit the style of today's women, is poised to become Chanel's new iconic bag.
