LEMAIRE, the label created by Christophe Lemaire and Sarah Linh Tran, held their Fall/Winter 2017-18 women's collection show at the historic Palais de la Femme in Paris. This season, the collection showcased modern silhouettes, playing with volume. Gathered cuffs created balloon sleeves, gathered backs created rounded shapes, and luxurious fabrics made the sleeves oversized. While evoking 19th-century blouses and 1950s haute couture coats, the collection also featured fresh shapes with sharp cuts at the bodice and oversized shoulders. The beauty of the tailoring remained unchanged, with suits made from trendy corduroy and single-piece collarless jackets. What also caught the eye was the use of shining elements such as coated cotton coats, metallic silk tops, and ceramic brooches.
