The Hermès Gion store in Kyoto will be hosting a beach-focused event starting March 31st, with a new look. The store, which opened in November 2016 for a limited period of nine months, offers a constantly evolving collection of items tailored to the seasons and time of year. This fifth event, titled "Summer Time," will feature a wide variety of vibrant beachwear, including women's swimwear, beach bags, beach towels, and sandals. On the second floor, transformed into a tropical island beach resort with parasols and beach chairs made from outdoor fabrics, customers can write their message on a custom postcard using Hermès' Nautilus pen and drop it in a pre-installed mailbox, just like sending a postcard to family and friends on vacation.
In addition, the Hermes Gion store and online boutique are currently selling a Japan-exclusive color beach bag called "Flag in the Wind" (160,000 yen) in advance (it is scheduled to be released in the online boutique from early to mid-April).
