Gucci restores James Dean's "Rebel Without a Cause"; Scorsese and Hockney receive lifetime achievement awards

Gucci, in collaboration with The Film Foundation, restored the 1955 film "Rebel Without a Cause," directed by Nicholas Ray and starring James Dean. The completed restoration had its world premiere on November 1st at the Bing Theater at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). The Film Foundation, founded by film director Martin Scorsese, restores and restores deteriorated masterpieces. This is the 10th project supported by Gucci. Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Camilla Belle attended the world premiere wearing pieces from the Gucci collection. The following day, on the 2nd, the 3rd Annual Art & Film Gala, sponsored by Gucci, was held. LACMA Trustee Eva Chau and actor Leonardo DiCaprio hosted the event, with Frida Giannini serving as chair of the Gala Organizing Committee. Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to director Martin Scorsese and artist David Hockney. The event also announced the first-ever collaboration between The Film Foundation, LACMA, and the Annenberg Foundation to restore and preserve four works by French filmmaker Agnes Varda. Many celebrities wearing Gucci attended the event, which also featured special performances by artists Sting and Dhani Harrison.
