The pop-up shop "CUPSULE" for the fashion brand "petite robe noire" opened at The Stage #3 on the third floor of the main building of the Isetan Shinjuku store. It will be open until December 3rd.
Petite Robe Noire was launched by designer Yoshiyo Abe in 2008. Based on ideas from abstract painting and the concept of "connecting the old and the new," the brand is committed to producing everything from clothing to accessories made in Japan. Originally, the brand focused on accessories, offering a wide variety of styles. Currently, the brand also produces clothing and offers coordinated outfits with accessories.
The pop-up shop's theme is "occasion," suggesting outfits for special occasions in preparation for the glamorous party season. Three stylists with different ages and careers and styling styles were asked to coordinate outfits. Two styles were presented, one featuring a dressy look with a black dress and accessories, and the other a casual party style for a home party, each highlighting the individuality of the three stylists. This is the first live-action version of the "Outfit Samples" project currently running on the brand's official website, in which stylists choose and coordinate their favorite items, from clothing to accessories. The first stylist is Shimizu Naomi, who specializes in fresh coordination of items and colors. She has worked on styling for magazines such as "GINZA" and has also been in charge of the brand's image visuals. The second stylist is Uesugi Miyuki, who works for fashion magazines such as "ELLE japon" and "SPUR." Her stylish, streamlined styling is impressive. The third stylist is Furumaki Yukari. After working as a styling editor for "ELLE japon," she is now a freelance stylist, specializing in fashion and interior styling. Furumaki suggests styles such as pairing a classic black dress with a jeweled leather bangle, or combining a classic brooch with a junky tin badge around the chest.
The flared black dress (33,600 yen) used in Shimizu's outfit and the sharp-lined black dress (39,900 yen) reminiscent of the 50s used in Uesugi's outfit will be available first at Isetan.
"We have a wide range of items, from classic items reminiscent of the 1920s to trendy items that boldly incorporate cotton pearls and fake bijoux. We hope you will choose the item that suits your current mood and enjoy the changes that occur," says a brand representative.
