TASAKI is holding a photo exhibition by actor Tamaki Hiroshi, "TASAKI Pearly Planet Photo Gallery - The Beautiful World Where Pearls Are Born, Photographed by Actor Tamaki Hiroshi," at its Ginza flagship store. It runs until December 25th.
In 2011, the brand launched the "TASAKI Diamond Project," which focuses on rough diamonds and proposes new value for diamonds. That same year, to commemorate the launch of the "TIMELESS MESSAGE" personal order service, the culmination of this project, the brand held the "TASAKI Timeless Massage Photo Gallery," showcasing photographs taken by Tamaki during his travels in Botswana, the world's largest diamond-producing country. This was Tamaki's first photo exhibition, and it attracted much attention.
For this second exhibition, Tamaki once again serves as photographer, exploring the origins of pearl beauty with a focus on pearls born from nature. Tamaki visited the Kujukushima Islands of Nagasaki, a sacred place for pearls, and Myanmar, and captured on camera the different pearls found in the two countries, the mysterious power of nature that produces them, and the jewelry-making process. Tamaki himself was also in charge of directing everything from the spatial composition of the venue to the background music. Behind-the-scenes footage of him taken by the official photographer has also been released.
