"SWEETS by NAKED," a new sweets event by the creative collective NAKED Inc., will be held from December 1 to January 9, 2017, at Space O on the third basement floor of the main building of Omotesando Hills. During the event, the venue will recreate the streets of Paris and New York through an abundance of real sweets, including honey streetlights, brownie cobblestones, and colorful candy neon signs. Combining "analog" effects using scents and artwork with "digital" effects using cutting-edge Japanese equipment and technology, the event will create a magical world of sweets reminiscent of childhood dreams. Collaborating with eight popular sweets brands from Japan and abroad, including three from Omotesando Hills, the event will feature sweet sculptures and original sweets that visitors can actually taste in a special area. The first thing visitors see upon entering the venue is "Welcome Candy," a "candy alley" lined with brick-style buildings reminiscent of the streets of New York. Some of the neon signs and bricks are made from real candy, and graffiti is painted on the walls using projection mapping. At the end of the alley, the first 200 visitors each day will receive a Papabubble candy gift. Further inside, visitors will find "Sweets Interaction," a street corner where they can enjoy sweets interactively. This mysterious space features 3D computer-generated sweets in real-world locations like trash cans, streetlights, buildings, and telephone booths. When visitors stand in front of the wall, colorful 3D computer-generated jellybean candies appear, bouncing in response to their body shape and movements. "Sweets Time," the event's main object, towers in the center of the venue. Various sweets, including the Eiffel Tower, a symbol of Paris, pop out of manholes coated in real chocolate, transforming the streetscape into a confectionery scene. A cobblestone road made of real brownies leads to "Sweets Universe," a space world filled with planets made of real sweets. This interactive projection mapping experience transforms the planets and volcanoes with people's movements. Blow wind toward a sun sculpture to make the sun's flames burn, or a volcano made of cupcakes begin to burn. There's also a special area where you can enjoy tasting sweet treats. At Chocolate Tailor, a chocolate tailor with dresses displayed in the store's window, visitors can walk up to the mirror in the store's fitting room and see a dwarf artisan appear. The dwarf will measure your body size and select from a selection of chocolates to create the perfect chocolate for you. Upon leaving the fitting room, visitors will receive a ring with the chocolate gemstone as a gift, which they can wear on their finger or enjoy immediately. Ice Cream Florist, an ice cream flower shop, will also be there. Visitors can choose a flower-decorated ice cream from the display case and enjoy it on the spot. There will also be a merchandise area called "Sweets Marchais," where various sweets-themed goods will be lined up along a tree-lined avenue modeled after New York's Central Park. In addition to masking tape and clear files featuring the main visual, there will also be items that make perfect Christmas gifts.
