"MY Cup of Favor: Coffee and Stories," a coffee festival bringing together some of Japan's top brands, will be held from November 9th to 14th at the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building 6th Floor Event Hall. This event, conceived from the perspective that "the passion and worldview of the coffee maker are expressed in the time spent with coffee," will create a space where attendees can chat with each brand's baristas and roasters, sample coffee, and discover their favorite cup of coffee. Twelve carefully selected brands from Japan will be selling their signature beans, drip coffee, and original products at the venue. Based on the event information page featured in the "ISETAN GUIDE for STYLING," we will introduce the lineup of brands divided into three themes: "Discovering," "Designing," and "Brewing." In the "Discovering" section, booths will include "Micafeto," run by Yoshiaki Kawashima, a renowned coffee hunter who has spent 40 years searching for delicious coffee beans, and "Cafe Tenango," a specialty coffee shop from Central America. The "Design" section will feature Nosy Coffee, which specializes in single-origin coffees without blending, and Horiguchi Coffee, which has created nine unique blends and is said to have changed the way people think about decaffeinated coffee. Then, in the "Brew" section, Suzuki Itsuki and Nakayama Yoshinobu of Maruyama Coffee, known for their world-class baristas, will demonstrate their skills. Visitors will also be able to sample coffee brewed by Yoshikawa Toshiko of Ogawa Coffee, a former latte art champion. Additionally, The Cream of the Crop Coffee will offer soft serve ice cream capturing the delicious flavor of espresso, offering a menu that allows visitors to enjoy the perfect blend of coffee and sweets. A representative for the event commented, "We hope that by sampling a variety of coffees from carefully selected shops and hearing about the various aspects that go into each cup of coffee, including varietals, refining, roasting, and brewing methods, we can experience the world-renowned coffee culture that is deeply rooted in Japan." This is an opportunity to see 12 specialists who are leading the way in Japan's coffee culture come together, so be sure to visit the venue in search of a new coffee experience.
