The "Decorate, Color, Christmas" exhibition, focusing on Christmas tree ornaments, will be held at coto mono michi at TOKYO in Aoyama, Tokyo, from December 1st to 13th.
Christmas tree ornaments are said to have meanings embedded in each one. The exhibition will feature ornaments carefully crafted by artisans, as well as tableware to brighten up your dining table. The lineup includes paper wreaths inspired by holly, laurel, fir trees, and snow, olive-dyed Shima Temari balls that can be used as ornaments, and candles made from Tonoko. Also on display will be Takenaka Kinsai's Celebration Series and floral-themed pieces by SuLA♪Ribbon.
Workshops for making ornaments and Christmas goods will also be held. From 1pm and 3pm on December 4th, you can make your own porcelain Christmas plate by freely applying Christmas pattern transfer stickers to an approximately 18cm tall tree-shaped plate. On December 11th from 11am, 1pm and 3pm, you can choose brass or aluminum parts and experience making simple, grown-up ornaments such as stars and regular tetrahedrons.
