GENTLE MONSTER, a global fashion eyewear brand originating from Korea, has opened its second flagship store in Japan in Tokyo's Ginza district. Following on from its 2024 opening, the Aoyama store attracted record-breaking numbers of visitors immediately after its opening, establishing itself as a "must-visit" destination, the Ginza store will serve as a base for even more people to experience the brand's worldview.

The interior of the store was built around the concept of exploring the human psyche, with the entire space designed as an installation that combines art and fashion. The "Giant" sculpture standing on the red floor leaves a strong impression on visitors, while the "Star" sculpture, shining in the light, symbolizes the inner identity of humans, such as individuality and emotions. The metal "Praying Mantis" and the "Giant Head Kinetic Sculpture" on the second floor disrupt familiar order, presenting new perspectives and inviting visitors into an immersive experience.

The giant head sculpture, with its moving eyes and blinking eyes, quietly speaks to the fluctuations of human thoughts and emotions, and our relationships with others. Beyond being a mere retail space, this Ginza space offers a place where visitors can experience the brand's philosophy as if they were interacting with a work of art.

In addition, the Ginza store has introduced a new "RX Service." This provides a personalized experience for each customer through lens replacement and vision tests, creating a different customer contact point from the Aoyama store. This is another example of the innovation that is unique to Gentle Monster, which has a luxurious experimental spirit at its core.

Currently, in addition to the flagship stores in Aoyama and Ginza, the brand is also available at the Hankyu Umeda Main Store in Osaka in Japan.
