Bernard Arnault was born on March 5, 1949, in Roubaix, France. He studied at the École Polytechnique, a school dedicated to nurturing elite science and engineering graduates, and earned an engineering degree. After taking over his father's business, he emigrated to the United States, where he managed a company and mastered the art of capitalism. Upon returning to France, he acquired the major textile company Boussac and entered the apparel industry. In 1987, he merged Louis Vuitton and Moët Hennessy to found the LVMH Group. Since then, he has acquired nearly 60 luxury brands, primarily in Europe, including Christian Dior and Loewe. He maintains a cold-hearted and aggressive management style, dismissing employees immediately after acquiring them, even if they had been involved with the brand for many years.
In 2010, the bag brand "MOYNAT" was revived with Arnault's personal investment, and in November of the following year, a shop opened on Rue Saint-Honoré.
