Barneys New York, the luxury retailer from New York, will reopen its flagship store in Ginza on September 19, 2025. This major remodel marks the first of its kind for the Ginza flagship store. Based on the concept of "Memory and Creation," the store will cherish the brand's tradition and style while incorporating new challenges for the future.

The redesign will feature high-quality service and sophisticated experiential content, centered around Barneys New York's motto of "TASTE, LUXURY, HUMOR." Of particular note is the introduction of a new space inspired by New York. For example, "UNION SQUARE," which hosts pop-ups in collaboration with artists, functions as a space reminiscent of the bustle and energy of New York. Barneys New York was founded in 1923 by Barney Pressman on 17th Street and 7th Avenue in Manhattan. Currently, in Japan, the store operates nine locations, including the Ginza Flagship Store, Roppongi Store, Yokohama Store, Kobe Store, and Fukuoka Store, as well as outlet stores, and an online store. The store carries a wide range of items, primarily men's and women's apparel, accessories, and shoes, as well as tableware and stationery, and includes both its own brand and designer brands from Europe, the United States, and Japan.
