Tsuchiya Kaban Seisakusho, celebrating its 60th anniversary, has announced the second collaboration with designer brand SHINYAKOZUKA. The limited-edition items to be released on September 10, 2025, include two shoulder bags and an L-shaped zipper wallet. Combining Japanese craftsmanship with a modern sensibility, the collection will be a special keepsake for cherishing memories.

60 Years of History Meet Fashion
Founded in 1965 as a school bag workshop, Tsuchiya Kaban has continued to pursue its theme of "items that are loved beyond time" for over half a century. For a company that has always pursued innovation while preserving traditional craftsmanship, its 60th anniversary marks a new milestone. This collaboration can be seen as a symbolic effort to connect that history to the future.

Meanwhile, SHINYA KOZUKA is a designer brand that builds its own unique worldview based on the concept of "picturesque scenery." This season's theme is "Good morning, I wish I could fly, never mind." The collection features a penguin motif and conveys the message of "accepting things as they are." This poetic perspective resonated with Tsuchiya Kaban's craftsmanship.

A bag that stores memories, leather that develops with time
The bags featured in this collaboration combine a letter-motif design with the design of a school bag. Symbols of both are interwoven in the large flap, back structure, and metal fittings that resemble envelopes. Additionally, a message is silkscreen printed on the leather. Because the ink density and placement vary from one item to another, no two are the same, and each item will be imprinted with a unique expression, along with memories, in the user's hands.

The cushion on the back and the binder (edge wrapping) that holds the main body and back together are the same specifications as those of a school bag.

Though compact, the wallet is designed to efficiently store cards and coins. The natural leather texture deepens with use, and this special design allows you to enjoy the aging process as the print blends in over time.
