French luxury jeweler Chaumet will celebrate its iconic honeybee motif on March 28th with "Honey Bee Day 2014." The brand has a history of serving as the official jeweler to Emperor Napoleon, and the honeybee is also Napoleon's coat of arms. This year, marking its second year of support, Chaumet is collaborating with Ginza shops to create an original menu using Ginza honey. From March 28th to April 4th, HENRI CHARPENTIER will be selling honey madeleines, and Star Bar Ginza, Bar Mimizuka, and Bar Anthem will be serving the special royal blue cocktail "Parfait Amour" with honey. A "Ginza Honey Map" will also be available, introducing shops such as Ginza L'Ecrin and Shiseido Parlour that offer honey-based menus. Chaumet has been promoting bee conservation activities in collaboration with the Ginza Honeybee Project since last year. For approximately six years, Chaumet Paris has supported Terre d'Abeilles, an environmental protection organization that works to protect honeybees.
