Diane von Furstenberg is holding a pop-up event celebrating the 40th anniversary of the wrap dress at Isetan Shinjuku's Main Building, The Stage #2, running until the 25th. Designer Diane visited the store on March 19th. The event, "DVF x ANDY WARHOL 'POP WRAP' collection," will feature an advance sale of the limited-edition "POP WRAP" collection, which combines Andy Warhol's signature "Flower" prints with the brand's archive prints. In addition to the wrap dress, items such as bags and pouches will also be available. Due to limited production, the sale will end while supplies last. On the first day of the event, Diane visited Isetan with models wearing the latest wrap dress. She was greeted with applause by fans and posed for photos with them, captivating them with her smile throughout the event. Diane von Furstenberg started her own brand in 1970. The wrap dress, released in 1973, was a huge hit thanks to its ease of movement, bold colors, and feminine silhouette. It remains an iconic item for the brand and is popular with many women today. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the wrap dress's birth. Commemorative events have been held around the world, starting with the exhibition "The Journey of a Dress" held in LA. In Japan, the 2014 Spring/Summer collection is being shown in advance at Isetan Shinjuku and Barneys New York Ginza. A fashion show will be held on the 20th as a special program for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
