Kenzo releases new violet fragrance "Violet"

Mar 22, 2014

KENZO PARFUMS released the new eau de parfum "Violet" (50ml/8,000 yen excluding tax) from its fragrance collection "Color Kenzo" on March 20th.

The fragrance has a fruity floral base based on violet flowers, which are synonymous with the color purple. The top note of blueberry is followed by the scent of violet, and the base note of redcurrant jelly finishes it off. The perfumer is Jean Jacques, who also worked on "Rose" and "Jaune (Yellow)," which were released in the same collection last year.

The violet-colored bottle emblazoned with the letter "K" features a flower cap as an homage to "Sa San Peau - Beautiful Scent," the first fragrance created by brand founder Kenzo Takada in 1988.

Currently on sale at the official Kenzo LINE shop and the social commerce app "Origami." Customers who spend over 8,000 yen at the official Kenzo LINE shop or purchase "Violet" on origami will receive a gift kit containing a shower cream (body shampoo, 30ml) and body milk (30ml) in the scent of Flower by Kenzo, packaged in an original pouch, on a first-come, first-served basis.
