NARS launches new face color and brush for a natural, three-dimensional look

Mar 22, 2014

NARS will release a new face color, "Contour Blush" (4,200 yen), on April 11th, which creates a three-dimensional look. The set includes two shades: a bright light shade and a deep dark shade. The three colors are "OLYMPIA (5180)," which creates a soft finish, "PALOMA (5181)," the main color, and "GIENAH (5182)," which creates a bronze complexion. The formula contains ultra-fine powder with a unique sheen, mineral powder that balances skin tone for a healthy complexion, and multi-layered powder that controls light reflection and accentuates contours. The Artistry Brush Collection, which will also be released at the same time, includes a total of 16 brushes perfect for applying the "Contour Blush." Using the "Contour Brush #21" (5,900 yen), which is angled to fit your bone structure, lightly apply the dark shade from your forehead to your cheekbones and along your jawline in a "3" pattern, then use the dome-shaped "Blush Brush #20" (5,900 yen) to glide the light shade over your cheekbones and under your eyes to create a natural, three-dimensional look.

Also, use the "Eyeshadow Brush #40" (4,400 yen) to apply the light shade from the base of your lashes to your brow bone, and then use the "Wide Contour Eyeshadow Brush #43" (4,400 yen) to apply the dark shade to the hollow of your eyelid to create depth, creating the illusion of chiseled eyes.
