Mar 6, 2014

"Disney: 90 Years of Dreams and Magic: From Mickey Mouse to Pixar," an exhibition looking back on the history of the Walt Disney Company, will be held from March 19th to April 7th at the Matsuya Ginza 8th floor Event Square. Approximately 50 years after the Walt Disney Company, founded in 1923, created Mickey Mouse, the Walt Disney Archives was established to collect and preserve historical materials related to Walt and his company. Under the supervision of the archives, the exhibition will bring together approximately 800 items, including art, props, costumes, models, cels, and figurines from 90 years of creation, from Mickey Mouse to the live-action "Pirates of the Caribbean" and Pixar films like "Monsters, Inc." In addition, a wide variety of the latest Disney merchandise will be available for purchase, including exclusive merchandise such as T-shirts, picture plates, tote bags, and reprinted picture books, as well as exclusive items available only at the venue.
