Vivienne Westwood designed the costumes for Miss Piggy, a character in Disney's latest film, "Muppets Most Wanted," including a white wedding dress.
The film is a sequel to the film "The Muppets," and tells the story of a group of Muppets on an international tour of European cities who become embroiled in an international conspiracy. Miss Piggy is a diva pig who falls in love with Kermit the Frog.
Vivienne Westwood was commissioned by Miss Piggy, a fashion icon, to design couture for her wedding, including a white dress perfect for her wedding.
Miss Piggy was delighted with the gorgeous long-court wedding dress, adorned with sequins made from recycled plastic bottles and featuring a corset. "Vivienne Westwood is such an incredible designer, just like me!" she praised, adding, "When I asked her to design the wedding dress for my new film, Muppets Most Wanted, she was so excited, I was so touched."
Will Miss Piggy actually be able to wear the dress and marry her beloved Kermit? "You'll have to see the film to find out," she playfully added.
Miss Piggy also wears a Harris Tweed houndstooth coat and beret, also designed by Vivienne Westwood, as well as a floral lace dress hand-embroidered with silver thread.
Muppets Most Wanted opens in the UK on March 28th.
