
Actress Rachel Weisz was born on March 7, 1970, in London, England. She studied English literature at Cambridge University, but became interested in acting and founded the theatre company Talking Tongues. She won the Guardian Award at the Edinburgh Festival, an arts and culture festival. She entered the entertainment industry in 1993, working primarily in television. She made her film debut in 1995's The Mummy. She steadily built her career and gained international recognition with 1999's The Mummy. She won both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 2005's The Constant Gardener. In 2006, she became engaged to film director Darren Aronofsky. She gave birth to a son, but the couple broke up in 2010. Shortly after, her relationship with Daniel Craig, who co-starred with her in the film "Dream House," was revealed, and the couple married in June 2011.
