BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE will open its flagship store at 126 Prince Street in New York's SoHo district on June 12, 2025. This will be BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE's first standalone store in Europe or the United States outside of Asia.

The store will be located on the corner of Prince and Wooster Streets in the heart of New York's SoHo district, and was designed by Japanese design studio MOMENT. With a floor area of approximately 48 square meters and a frontage of approximately 13 meters, the sophisticated design will create a space where customers can experience the brand's worldview.

The interior design was inspired by the traditional Japanese hearth. An irori is a place where families and friends gather around a central fire, chatting and enjoying a relaxing time. In this Soho location, the store is imbued with the desire to expand the circle of communication around BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE products. To embody this concept, a light that emits a "warm light" has been installed in the center of the store. This light, which serves as the face of the store, also functions as a brand presentation space, attracting visitors naturally and providing a place where they can experience the story of BAO BAO and the appeal of its products.

A wide variety of items are displayed to add color to the presentation space, and the interior features plaster-finished walls and hammered aluminum tables, creating a space that highlights the rich texture of the materials and the delicate craftsmanship of the artisans.

To mark the grand opening, the store will be releasing the "LUCENT LOVE" series, which is unified in a single tone of red. The store will offer a special lineup of items that can only be purchased here, including tote bags, crossbody bags, and pouches. In addition, special visuals will be released, featuring an original design in which the LUCENT tote bag is shaped like a red heart, sending a heartfelt message to the streets of New York.
